Why I killed cocoa merchant over #18,000 (one hundred and thirty eight US dollars)
This story was reported by the Punch Newspaper on January 3, 2008 and it can be found on page 6 of the newspaper, A murder suspect, Dayo Oluwafemi, 30 year old, has confessed killing a cocoa merchant, Mrs. Fausat Salaudeen, on New Year’s eve, saying that he committed the crime because he thought the deceased had about fifty thousand naira (384 US dollars) on her. Oluwafemi, a taxi driver by profession who hails from Ilesa, Osun State, Western Nigeria, said he slaughtered the deceased at Kajola, where he had taken her to buy cocoa.
According to Oluwafemi, a seer in Igbona area of Oshogbo had predicted that he would never make it in life, saying that his attempt to controvert the prediction led him to kill the woman.
Oluwafemi, who claimed to be married with three children, said he used the #18,000 he collected from the deceased after he had slaughtered and buried her, to drink with his friends at a beer parlor in Oshogbo. By the time he was arrested the police command spokesman, Mr. Joshua Olayemi said #4,000 naira only (30 US dollars only) was recovered from the suspect as he had spent the rest of the #18,000 on frolicking. His wife and friends have also been arrested.
The question I’m asking my readers is that is it possible for one’s future to be written on a blackboard in the sky? Is it possible for a seer to know about the financial situation of one’s life? In as much as I believe in the gift of prophecy, and I know that some people have power to see into the future. I also believe that no one can see the financial progress of one’s life or predict the outcome. God creates humankind and give equal opportunity to everyone irrespective of the gender whether male or female. To each individual, God has given a talent that will help him or her to achieve his earthly desire. Everything depends on how each individual are able to use their talents or gifts to bring or enhance progress into their personal life. Riches and possessions is a gift from God and God give these gifts to all human. God did not created anybody to be poor or rich. Riches and possessions are like sun and rain, God gives to everybody equally irrespective of the religion or creed the person might profess. Only those people among God creations who know how to control this gift by making use of it at the right time will be rich because they know how to observe the season by sowing and reaping at the right season. The possession of money and assets comes as a result of thinking in a right way and those who think in this positive way whether intentionally or unintentionally will become rich irrespective of the religion or creed they might profess. While those who do not think or acts in this way, no matter how religious they are, or how hard they work will unfailingly remain poor.
The saying is mathematically correct and scientifically true that if you want to be rich and you want heaven to smile on you, you definitely had to heal yourself and change your life. When an individual possess an idea figured out in his mind, he takes stuff from the natural world and creates an image which he had figure out in his mind. Humankind, has so far, not attempted to cooperate with shapeless stuff to work with the Father. The individual has not dreamed that he can do what he saw the Father doing. An individual redesigns and transform existing structure through manual labor and has given no thought to the idea of whether he may produce stuffs from shapeless material by directing his thoughts towards it.
But when you shut yourself off with negative thoughts and stress, you will feel the discomfort, you will feel the pain and you will feel the aches. You will feel as everyday is painful to get through. When a person has manifested a disease in the body temple or some kind of discomfort in their life, it can be alter through the power of positive thinking, the body temple can be turn around if the person focus on manifesting right and positive thoughts about his or her healthy state. Disease can not live or survive in a body that is in a healthy emotional state. If you’ve a disease and you’re focusing on it, and you’re talking to people about it, you’re going to create more disease cells. The healing will not occur until you shift your attention from being sick to being well. Happier thoughts lead to a healthier biochemistry, a healthy body. Negative thoughts and stress seriously degrade the body and the functioning of the brain. It’s our thoughts and emotion that are continuously reassembling, reorganizing, and recreating our body. Remove personal problems and stress from the body and the body does what it was design to do, it rejuvenate and heals itself.
That this saying is true and applicable in human evolution is confirmed by the words of Wallace Wattles in his classic ‘The Science of getting rich’ that ‘a person way of doing things is the direct result of the way he thinks about things. To do things in the way you want to do them, you will have to acquire the ability to think the way you want to think. This is the first step toward getting rich. And to think what you want to think is to think TRUTH, regardless of appearances.
Every individual has the natural and inherent power to think what he wants to think, but it requires far more effort to do so than it does to think the thoughts which are suggested by appearances. To think according to appearances is easy; to think truth regardless of appearances is laborious and requires the expenditure of more power than any other work we are called upon to perform.
There is no labor from which most people shrink as they do from that of sustained and consecutive thought. It is the hardest work in the world. This is especially true when truth is contrary to appearances. Every appearance in the visible world tends to produce a corresponding form in the mind which observes it, and this can only be prevented by holding the thought of the TRUTH.
To look upon the appearances of poverty will produce corresponding forms in your own mind, unless you hold to the truth that there is no poverty; there is only abundance. Law Of Opposites
Have you ever paid any attention to the idea that there are "two sides to everything?" Think of how often you have heard that.
Look at your hand. It has a front and a back side. Your body has a right and a left side. The automobile or room you are in has an inside and an outside. You couldn't possibly have one without the other.
This is an orderly universe, of which you are a part. The whole universe is governed by laws.
If you have watched The Secret you heard the quote, the father of the space program, the late Dr. Warner Von Braun who said the natural laws of the universe are so precise that we do not have any difficulty today building a space ship, sending a person to the moon and timing the landing with the precision of a fraction of a second.
The law I am referring to today is the Law of Polarity or the Law of Opposites.
If it is a long way up to the top of a building, it must be a long way down. If it is a mile from point A to point B, it must be a mile from point B to point A. They are not only opposite, they are equal and opposite.
